Description
Gold spiral classifier is widely used to pre-grading and inspection grading in closed circuits when used in the production flow of metal processing.
According to the difference in sedimentation rate of mineral particles and mud, the particle sizes of ores with1.5mm-0.03mm are classified.
Waste mud or water for ore sand can be separated from the ores. It's also usually applied to ore washing, desliming and dehydration and so on.
Working Principle
Gold spiral classifiers work in a similar fashion in that both drag sediment and sand along the bottom of an inclined surface to a higher discharge point on one end of the settling chamber.
Gold spiral classifiers are generally preferred as material does not slide backwards which occurs in rake classifiers when the rakes are lifted between strokes.
This also allows Gold spiral classifiers to operate at steeper inclines producing a drier product.
The Gold spiral classifier also produces less turbulence in the settling pool allowing for separation of finer material.
