IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. It is a method of using powerful pulses of light comprised of light across a wide spectrum of wavelengths.

What is IPL?
IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. It is a method of using powerful pulses of light comprised of light across a wide spectrum of wavelengths. Different wavelengths strike the skin curing different skin issues. Many people mistakenly believe it is the same as laser. Laser differs in the way it delivers light, the medium it is emitted from, and narrow bands of light wavelengths. IPL uses a spectrum of different wavelengths (typically 400-1,200nm), and in intense and strong pulses.

Before Start Using
For the best effects, please wash the facial part before use.
How to use
1) Remove the cartridge protective cover cap
- Please don't take off the cover cap from the top side but bend the cover cap to the back side for easier seperation.
2) Press and hold the power button for a few seconds

- Release the power button when the front side LEDs become white and starts beeping
3) The LCD window on the back shows device status, indicating total accumulated shots, state of the battery charge and lamp power levels

4) Press the MODE button to select the desired power level
Repeat the MODE button press to cycle through power levels
5) Press the Touch Head / Sensor against the sking for 1 second, then press the SHOT button to fire the lamp
IPL is emitted when the light flashes.
6) After flashing, please wait a short while
When the device finishes playing a few short beeps, the device is ready for the next shot. Repeat (5) and (6) until the targetted area is covered.

Turn off device
Press and hold the POWER button. After you hear another series of beeps, you can release.
The SELATENA will also automatically power off if it is not used for over 60 seconds

After Use
To clean, use a clean alcohol moistened cloth to remove direct, the cover the cap and store it safely
Charging Method
1. Connect device to adapter
2. The LED will change to RED colour.
3. After charging is complete, the LED will turn off.(Note: Charging times will vary according to device status. Maximum charging time is around 3 hours)
Exchange the cartridge
(When the lamp has been used 5,000 times, it will have expired and the LCD window will show "exchange warning message". Please exchange the cartridge when you see this.)

1) Check Power is off.
2) Press the cartridge decoupling buttons at the sides of the IPL body. Then pull out the cover cap together with the cartridge .
3) Next seperate the cartridge from the cover
4) Install new cartridge to the body.
5) Turn on SELATENA.
5) Please press the MODE button when the cartridge warning message displays.
6) Please wait for the device to turn off.
7) Turn on SELATENA again and now device is ready for use

Safety with SELATENA
This is medical device product so please carefully read the instructions for use.
Please don't flash the same area more than three consecutive times per application
- Please don't use the device for the same areas for more than three times consecutively.
If the device has been flashed consecutively 30 times, allow it to cool down for 2 minutes before resuming operation
- IPL is an intense energy so after 30 cycles its prudent to allow some time for the skin and the device to rest and cool for a while
DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY INTO A FLASHING IPL LAMP
- The light is high energy Xenon light and can cause harm to eyes if looked at directly.
