Pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo L.) 

annual vine herbs; stems angled groove. Petiole stout, short setae; leaves hard, erect, triangular, semi circular bending short, dark green above, the color is shallow, veins of both sides strigose. Tendril slightly stout. Monoecism. Male flowers solitary; pedicel stout, angular, covered with yellowish brown short setae; calyx lobes linear lanceolate; corolla yellow, apex acute; staminal 15 mm long, anthers connivent. Female flowers solitary, ovary ovoid. Fruiting pedicels stout, with ridges obviously, pedicel thick or slightly enlarged. Fruit shape varies by species; seeds ovate, white, ca. 20 mm, margin arching and obtuse.
