Magnetic separator is one of the most widely used and high universality in industry, it is suitable for reusing to removed iron powder in the powder granule etc. Magnetic separator is widely used to recycling in wood industry, mining, ceramics, chemical, food factory and other factories. Magnetic separator is suitable for wet or dry magnetic separation with the size within 3mm materials of the manganese ore and magnetite, pyrrhotine, roasted ore and ilmenite , which is also used to separate the iron in coal, nonmetal ore, building materials etc.

According to the different structure of tank, Magnetic separator can be divided into downstream type, counter-current type, half counter-current type. The  feeding size of three different type magnetic separator as follows : downstream tank ≤6mm, counter-current tank ≤1.5mm, half counter-current type≤0.5mm.

Working Principle
When the raw materials flow into the tank body of the wet drum magnetic separator, firstly, the flowing direction of the raw materials is the same as the rotary direction of the magnetic drum, the iron magnetite materials are attracted to the surface of drum. This is the first separation. 
In the second step, there is flushing water under the drum on the other side to the material slurry. The flushing water flushes the raw materials back for the second separation. This time the flowing direction of the raw materials is opposite to the rotary direction of the magnetic drum. Then along with the rotation of drum, the iron magnetite materials on the surface of drum will finally leave the magnetic field and fall to the ore concentrate box under gravity. Also, the flushing water above helps to flush the iron magnetite into the ore concentrate box. The weak magnetic and non-magnetic materials can not be attracted and will flow to the discharge pipe for tailings.

Applications

Magnetic ore separator is mainly used for screening and purifying iron-bearing minerals. Wet magnetic separator and ball mill always combine into iron ore separation production line. Dry magnetic separator usually used for ore purifying and coarse ore separating.
