FAQ
Our Fireplaces are powered by a liquid alcohol fuel consisting of denatured ethanol. Unlike traditional hearth constructions, no chimney is needed because the combustion emits only small amounts of carbon dioxide and water vapour – the same components as in the air we exhale. The flames are as natural and yellow-orange as in wood firing, but are experienced as more dynamic than in gas stoves. The energy you supply goes straight into the room as heat, instead of being lost through the chimney. Thus the efficiency is high and the user does not expend more energy than necessary.
Firing in a conventional open fireplaces produces large amounts of soot and other unhealthy substances that must be evacuated through a smoke channel, requiring a fixed installation that locks the open fireplaces position in the home. Most of our fireplaces need no fixed installation and are fully mobile. The fireplace can be moved, for example, you relocate or re-furnish. Altogether this provides unbeatable flexibility in contrast to an open fireplace.
