Glazing tape is used to create the inside (and sometimes the outside) seal between the insulated glass panel and window sash
1/8'' 1/16'' 1/32'' thick, closed cell PE foam double coated with an acrylic adhesive. This is a multipurpose foam that's primarily used for dissipation of vibration and to distribute stresses and forces over the entire bond line. The adhesive on the liner side has been specifically formulated to provide an ultra high bond especially in severe exterior applications.
ADHESIVE TAPE ADVANTAGES
- UV light resistant
- Extreme temperature resistant
- Fungi, oxidation & ozone resistant
- Stress distribution reduces pressure points, thereby minimizing distortion
- Reduces/eliminates use of liquid adhesives, screws, rivets, welds and subsequent surface refinishing
- Conformable polyurethane foam promotes maximum surface contact
- Excellent quick-stick speeds
ADHESIVE TAPE APPLICATIONS
- Prevents corrosion of two dissimilar materials
- Aids in relieving forces caused by thermal expansion and contraction between bonded parts
- Mounting emblems and ornamentation
- Reduces Noise, Vibration
