Shunan Ceramic tile fixing adhesive is a professional-grade, polymer modified high quality Chinese Conch cement based adhesive material. This thin-set mortar is Ideal for placing and laying all types of ceramic floor tiles and some ceramic wall tiles in dry and wet areas.

Scope of Use

Substrate Preparation
1. Substrate must be even, sound, clean, free of dust, grease, waxiness or release agent which may influence bonding.
2. Initial finish coat surface should be done coarse treatment, area of coating residues should not exceed 20% of original surface.
3. Fresh concrete substrate can be tiled at age of 28 days, Fresh plaster substrate can be tiled at the age of 7days.
4. Old concrete and plaster substrate should be tiled after being cleaned by industrial detergent or degreaser and washed by high pressure tap and dried in the air for 24 hours.
5. Substrate should be coating with Interface agent if Impregnate concrete with high coefficient of water absorption or dust is hard to remove.
6. Substrate should be wet inside and dry outside before construction in such conditions: high temperature, dry conditions or high water absorption.
Construction Methods
Pour clean water into a mixing container by water/powder proportion of 1:4, before adding Shunan Ceramic Tile Adhesive slowly. Meantime, open agitator and start mixing evenly from top to bottom until completely free of paste. Allow the mixture to nature for a short time. Then mix again slightly before using.
Use a straight edge trowel to spread a layer of Shunan Ceramic Tile Adhesive on the construction substrate, afterwards comb the adhesive into full stripes in straight direction at the angle of 60º with substrate by using a suitable tooth form trowel, fix ceramic tiles on it last.
It should be double-sided gluing if the fissures on the back of ceramic tile is too deep or stone/ceramic tile) is too big and heavy. Namely, both substrate and back of tiles should be applied with adhesive at the same time.
Coverage
Theoretical coverage is approx. 3.5 - 5 kg/m2 under the condition of even substrate. The specific consumption varies depending on different substrate and wall tiles.
Shelf life
Approx. 12 months if stored in a tightly sealed container, in cool and dry conditions. Use products in opened containers as soon as possible.

Best construction temperature: 5-35 ℃
Mixing ratio of water/powder could be adjusted appropriately according to the differences of the material and quality of the substrate, weather and construction conditions etc.
Well mixed adhesive should be used out within 2-3 hours , It should be abandoned instead of being recycled using after mixing with water when the mixing appearing induration .
Protection measures should be done during rainy days for exterior construction. Make sure the construction area can not get wet by rain and washing within 24 hours after construction.
The fixed tiles can accept foot traffic and can be grouted after the adhesive dried and solidified completely (approx. 24 hours).
Temporary fixation measures should be taken when fixing wall tiles.
