Vanilla is the second most expensive spice after saffron, due to the extensive labor required to grow the seed pods used in its manufacture. Despite the expense, it is highly valued for its flavor. . Bourbon quality vanilla beans with sweet, aromatic and pleasant flavor are grown here. vanilla beans are cured for a processing period of 5 to 6 months. They are considered to be at par with the Madagascar beans
