SAFFRON

Saffron or also being called as za’faron in some region is a spice that being derived from the Saffron flower, Crocus sativus. It is the luxurious and the most expensive spice. The flower also being called as Saffron Crocus. The part that being used is the stigma of the flower.

based on several studies and research done, Saffron contains more than 150 volatile and aroma-yeilding compounds as well as so many non-volatile active components. The non- volatile component are mainly carotenoids (e.g zeaxanthin, lycopene etc.). In addition to that, saffron yellow color is mainly from the α-crocin.

Saffron has been used widely in cooking such as in biryani and other dishes. Apart from culinary uses, saffron contains so many health benefits. Recent study showed that saffron has properties of disease preventing, anti-oxidant, helps reduce depression, asthma, cough and whooping cough as well as to loosen phlegm. Apart from that, saffron also good for men’s health as well as women’s health and contains vitamins and minerals that is good for maintaining health state.

SAFFRON CHOCOLATE DRINK

SKLEW BIOTECH Lavender Chocolate Drink is the premium, richest and delicious chocolate drink infused with the goodness of Lavender Extract. It is rich with chocolatey taste and perfect for breakfast or before bed drink. No added artificial preservative, coloring and flavouring.

Preparation:

         1.      Pour a sachet of SKLEW BIOTECH Saffron Chocolate Drink into a cup

         2.      Add approximately 150ml of hot water (80^oC)

         3.      Stir well, and the drink is ready to serve.
