The necessity of using 100% biodegradable mulch film:
With the continuous development of agricultural modernization, farmland use plastic film has become an important means to ensure high and stable yield of crops. But with the extension of cultivated fixed number of year of plastic film mulching, the residual film recovery rate is low, membrane residues in soil increase gradually, causing increasingly serious membrane pollution.
Plastic, belong to high molecular compound, high melt index, extremely difficult to degrade, neither by microorganism erosion, also cannot automatically, its degradation period generally is 200-300, in the process of degradation will release toxic substances.
With the increase of using film cultivated fixed number of year, membrane residues also accumulate over a long period, bring to our land and to the survival of future generations is difficult to solve the pollution harm, pose a serious threat to agricultural sustainable development.
The best solution is using 100% biodegradable mulch film. It is from natural, renewable starch rich crop such as corn, potato, people also call it "Corn Plastic". Under compost condition, it will decompose into lactic acid when polyers are broken down. Lactic acid will depcompose into water and carbon dioxide by bacteria.It only takes 90-180 days under compost condition according to different size and thickness of the products.
