Foam Glass Description
Foam glass is a new inorganic thermal insulating material with a structure of equally closed cells. The compositio n is glass, added with foaming agent. It’s foamed by high temperature in foaming ove, and then cooled down in cooling oven. It well reserves the chemical stability of inorganic glass. As a result, it has the following features: low density, low thermal conductivity, vapor impermeability, no water absorption, incombustibility, protection from mould and rat eating, high mechanical strength but easy to cut and able to bear all kinds of chemical erosions except the hydrofluoric acid.
Production Process
The line starts from melter, melting right composition glass from sand, to control the quality from the beginning. Besides, the grinding processing, oven structure, combustion controlling, and finishing system, etc, have been fully upgraded, and the production processing & technical formula have been improved as well. Automatic controlling is adopted for the overall temperature control, weighing precision, processing data, and so on. Product quality meets ASTM standard.
1. Raw Material Processing
Raw material washing : stainless steel meshes ,special drum-type water washing machine and industry axial compressor fan , purging all pollution sundries in the cullet , drying and storing in the bursary with industry dehumidifier as the Alternate material.
2. Foaming Kiln
With ZL02215445.0 Binodal Tunnel Foam Glass Foaming kiln and Pre-fritting Tunnel Foam Glass Foaming kiln, STG-10000 (liquefied petroleum gas) is designed into the special foaming kiln equipment. Each kiln is compromised of front kiln and back kiln, the front in the ground surface and the back upon the metal frame and movable Tuo Che. The front kiln includes firing and foaming parts ,and the back kiln is the stable section. So its length is about 30meters (based on workshop )in all.
After adopting he high heat-resistant steel shaft roller transmission, it can convey in adjustive speed, and the combination between two kilns can be separated to movable, eliminating the problem happened to the inside of kiln without stoping working.
3. Annealing Kiln
based on ZL03230966X , XIT-10000 foam glass anneal kiln uses the tunnel fuel oil anneal kiln . Its whole length is about 92 to 96m (according to workshop ).
It uses the diesel oil for heating, and one auto-transfer ratio oil Nozzle in the blast chamber of the bottom of kiln’s head. Then the kiln cool curve by controlling the firing room’s temperature and the smoke,reaching scheduled requirements and uniform cooling speed. Between the kiln’s blast chamber and its heat channel, the workshop is separated by the carborundum fire-resistant, so there’re high thermal efficiency low energy consumption, no smoke and light, as well as the stable annealing. And the anneal kiln is improved a lot to replace the original cast iron Tuo Che, lengthen its length for conveying form, convenient for operating and prolong its service life.
