It has different name around the world such as Roselle, Rosella (Australia), Rosela (Indonesia), Bissap (some African countries and France), krajiab priaw (Thailand) , chin baung (Burma), Karkade (Egypt), Flor de Jamaica (Mexico), Asam Belanda (Malaysia).

Since 1992, Thao Moc Beverages Production and Trading Company has been pioneering on researching and producing products from Hibiscus.
