3. Properties

(1). Silver-white metal,soft,with good ductility.Melting point 232 ℃, density of 7.29g/cm3.Non-toxic.Tin is a soft, silvery white metal but it with lead,zinc is very similar,but it looks to be more brighter. Its hardness is relatively low, you can cut it with a knife. It has good ductility, especially at a temperature of 100 ℃, can develop into a very thin foil, the thickness can be as thin as 0.04 mm or less.
(2). Tin is also a low melting point metal,its melting point is only 232℃,so long as it can be with melted candle flame like quicksilver fluidity as well liquid.

(3). Pure tin has a strange performance: When the tin bars and tin plate bending, will be issued a special cries like a popping sound.This sound is emitted by the friction between crystals caused.When the crystal deformation,will produce such friction.The strange thing is,if for tin alloy,in the deformation, but does not issue such a cry.
