Description:  IMBAREX Carmine HT is an intense red colored powder produced from Aluminum Lake and Cochineal Carminic Acid. It is obtained by aqueous color extraction from the Cochineal, followed by a drying and grinding process. It provides an intense red colored solution.

Solubility:  Soluble in alkali solutions.

Application and Appearance in Food:  Ice-cream, bakery products, confectionery, snacks, soups, desserts, meat, and other food products with an aqueous phase. It gives a bright red to pinkish red hue in the final product, depending on the food product, processing, and amount used.

Directions for use:  Dilute using smooth water and Sodium Hydroxide at room temperature. Use constant agitation when adding powder. After sifting or filtering, add Propylene Glycol (5%), Glycerin (5%), Ethylic Alcohol (7%), and Potassium Hydroxide (or Ammonium Hydroxide) until pH reaches 11-11.5.

Storage:  It is recommended to store in a cool, dry and ventilated area in its proper container tightly sealed.

Shelf life:  If the product is stored under these conditions, it will maintain its properties up to 2 years from the date of manufacture.
