Printing service:

Custom printing is one of the main services we offer in yifengyuan Packaging.We have state-of-the-art rotogravure press up to 10 colors, reverse printing sandwiched between two films in utilization of food grade ink (FDA approved). Different visual effects can be achieved by means of cost-effective method:

• accurate color consistency,

• vivid photographic image,

• Natural Kraft paper look

• foil appearance,

• metallic look,

• embossing pattern,

• spot glossy area in contrast with matte finish, etc.

Flexo and rotogravure printing are two types of  printing press used in packaging industry.  The amount of color realized is the primary difference between these two methods. With Flexo printing, the colors established on a flexo printing press are called PMS colors or spot colors in pattern of solid dots as opposed to process colors in pattern of the tiny CMYK dots with process printing. Spot colors cannot overlap in order to create additional colors, With rotogravure printing, it can use CMYK 4colors as well as Pantone spot colors to create a virtually unlimited array of colors. It is a must to reproduce a full-color photographic image in your artwork.

If your packaging artwork has very tiny type or ultra thin lines, the PMS solid color (Pantone spot color) works better because the process color use CMYK tiny color dots to create lines, it may appear to be jagged when it’s very small.

If your packaging artwork contains metallic or fluorescent colors, you’d better use PMS colors (except in cases of using metalized Polyester which generates a metallic look when printing on it )

If you have great concern about the color consistency from one packaging material to another, PMS color will be better.

If a full-color photographic image is used in your artwork, 4 color process is a must because it can reproduce the graph in rich color fidelity thus yields much better effects than solid color does.

The high speed 10 colors rotogravure printing press in Yifengyuan packaging can realize CMYK and up to 5 solid colors printing with high resolution and color accuracy.

Stand-up pouches, flat bottom bags, side gusset bags are ideal for today’s on-the-go consumers, and provide material savings compared to the rigid packaging options like boxes, cases, cans, glass bottles, etc.

2. What application is flexible packing pouches realized for ?

Flexible packaging pouches including stand up pouch bags ,side gusset pouch , block bottom box pouch and craft paper bag made of polymer or paper laminates can be used for food and non-food packages, from dry fill of granule, particulate, powder, flour to liquid including wines, spirits, beverage, milk, and non-food packaging of fertilizer, detergent. For retort-food purpose, retort pouch bag is suited for 135℃cooking of 30mins in hot aseptic food process application of ready to eat meal, pre-processed meat and seafood.

3. Can the stand-up pouches be used for vacuum packaging?

Yes, Flat pouch is not the sole bag format. Some flexible plastic bags can be used for vacuum food packaging including stand up pouch, side gusset bag and flat bottom pouch of clear/co-extruded or multi-ply laminates plastic material.

4. Do you offer flexible bags for frozen dry meat?

Yes, frozen food pouch bags must be durable, airtight, withstand low-temperature and puncture-resistant. We use polyethylene, PP, PET film with special meta-additives to achieve durability at low temperatures.

Yes, Food Safety Modernization Act is important for food packaging applications. We are committed to use of food grade virgin raw materials that are FDA approved and meet other regulations for packages in contact with food  in accordance with European regulations, directives, and German law (LFGB).

 9. What are two different types of stand-up pouches?

One type is doypacks or doy type bags with a bottom gusset sealed in an oval shape, the other type is K seal or plow bottom bag in which the folded bottom gusset is sealed on four corners to form self supporting stand up bottom. Both of these two types can keep an upright standing for brand display.

12. What is reverse printing?

Most laminated plastic pouches are printed by means of reverse printing. Reverse printing is the process of printing on the back side of a clear substrate. In the following process, the print will be sandwiched between the outside substrate and the rest of the structure, offering scuff and chemical migration resistance. When the outer substrate is mounted to the remainder of the structure, it will be right reading.

13. How is your printing process going on? 

The general printing procures are as follows :

1:  A print production worker receives a job order and takes note of the specifications. They begin the setup process by installing the correct cylinders, preparing the ink, and other job-specific specs.

2:  once the rolls of film arrive, a single roll is loaded onto the machine and the tension is adjusted.

3:  After once cycle is complete, the worker cuts a sample piece to analyze color accuracy. Color accuracy is confirmed by looking at the sample through a light box, which emits a special lighting setup that has been adopted as an industry standard. The workers in the printing department make decisions according to the sample artwork and PMS color guide book.

4:  Workers are constantly monitoring the accuracy of the artwork throughout the entire job order. Since the machines run at an accelerated rate, workers look through a scanner, which can slow down the rate at which the film is traveling.

5:  A sample is taken from the end of every roll and inspected through the light box to verify there are no color deviations from roll-to-roll.

6:  once the entire order has been printed, the rolls of film are delivered to either the laminating department or converting department for the next phase of the production process.

14. What is your lead time for stand-up pouches? 

Yifengyua Packaging works hard to get materials to you when you need them. Please let our service team know your timelines and we will work with you. Generally, on new orders, lead times are 4-9 weeks and on repeat orders 3-7 weeks. Raw material availability may impact these time frames.

15. What is toll pouching? Do you accept toll pouching order?

Toll pouching is when packaging film is supplied to us for pouch fabrication.

16. Are you able to provide samples of premade pouches?

Yes, we have a wide variety of premade pouches that we can send samples of, such as zipper pouches, slider pouches, spouted pouches (also known as fitment pouches), clear stand-up pouches, stand-up pouches with windows, shaped stand-up pouches, 3-side seal pouches, and our innovative Ready Pour tap-and-gland fitment pouches. We also provide pouch prototyping services.

17. What information is needed to place an order with Yifengyuan Packaging?

It includes information on quantity, item identification, requested delivery date, shipping location, invoicing location, special instructions, etc.

Artwork: Artwork files, PMS colors or samples of specific color matches, and contact information.

Layout: Front and back copy orientation, graphic position, eyespot location, size, etc.
