Bigfish Foods Corporation was established in 2009 by a group of businessmen friends who shared a simple common desire to acquire and rebuild an idle but “once-famous” tuna cannery in the city of Zamboanga, city south of the Philippines, to become the way it was in the past.
That simple common desire has become the driving force to building the company as it is now today and moving forward to becoming a major player in the global canned seafood industry.
Believers in the basic business philosophy of “Good facility coupled with the advancements in process technology is equal to competitiveness”, the group then invested in the complete rebuilding of the plant facility and modernising it’s machinery, equipments and process technology making the plant, probably the most advanced and beautifully constructed Canned Seafood Processing Facility in the Philippines.

OUR SARDINES ARE HARVESTED IN THE SEAS OF ZAMBOANGA, IN THE SOUTHERN PART OF THE PHILIPPINES AND ARE DELIVERED DIRECTLY TO OUR FACTORY TO BE CANNED FRESH (NOT TO BE FROZEN), ENSURING FRESHNESS, BETTER TASTE, FLAVOUR, TEXTURE AND QUALITY COMPARED TO FROZEN SARDINES.
