General Description
Aluminium cans come predominantly from kerbside schemes and include:
  • Beverage and/or food containers;
  • Aerosols ( a maximum of 1% is acceptable and must be evenly distributed) - Must be empty, depressurised and plastic caps removed;
  • Unacceptables
    Free lead, pressurised gas, fuel or other sealed containers; any dangerously inflammable material; hazardous waste; radioactive components or contents.
    Baling/Loose Cans
    Quoted price per tonne is for delivered baled aluminium cans regardless of total tonnage delivered. Bale size and density may be variable. Provided the bale maintains its integrity, most sizes and weights within the limits above are acceptable.
    Bales to be strapped to a pallet using steel strapping only. Plastic strapping is not acceptable.
